Weather Policy for Wasaga under Siege

This event is held rain or shine.

Battle events and activities may be cancelled by the Historic Military Establishment of Upper Canada if, in its sole judgment, extreme weather or other conditions could jeopardize the safety of visitors, volunteers, and staff. Generally, rain or showers would not lead us to cancel battle events or activities, but extremely heavy rain, thunder and lightning, very strong winds, or a prediction of such conditions could force us to do so.

If the Historic Military Establishment of Upper Canada determines that weather conditions are extreme a planned battle event or activity will be postponed from its original time for 30 minutes and after that time if weather conditions have not improved the battle event or activity will be cancelled.

If the battle event or activity is already in progress and severe weather becomes threatening the battle event or activity will be postponed for 15 minutes and after that time if weather conditions have not improved the battle event or activity will be cancelled.
